Our Story

Our story began at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Dalton was attending school on a baseball scholarship while pursuing his music career and majoring in exercise science, and I was attending school on a softball scholarship majoring in marketing. Although knowing each other for years, our friendship truly began to grow when we became neighbors in the same apartment building.

Dalton has always been the nicest person I have ever met. & I would say this even back in 2018 years before our relationship kindled. So nice that when he did start liking me, I did not pick up on any signs. From Sonic hang outs, a birthday card, talking until 4AM (with a 6AM practice in the morning, mind you) - I was oblivious. UNTIL…. Dalton paid for my Chipotle. I kid you not, everything hit me at once standing at the Chipotle cash register– my crush liked me back! He paid for my burrito and my life was forever changed. Safe to say, Chipotle is a go-to spot for us even 5 ½ years later.

A few weeks after the monumental Chipotle epiphany, Dalton and I took a day trip to hike at one of my favorite places on Earth– Fall Creek Falls. We took the short trip down to the falls, and at the bottom Dalton asked me to be his girlfriend. He did in fact ask me to check yes or no through a note in a journal I had gifted him a few days prior. This journal remains an active part of our relationship housing many love notes, and soon, our vows!

Not long after this, we enter the distance chapter of our relationship because Dalt was off to play for the Savannah Bananas in Savannah, GA! As I was finishing my final year of college softball, Dalton was beginning his professional career. It’s so fun to look back on this time now, knowing what all would be in store us. From goodbye tears to joyful reunions, this chapter gave us a strong foundation that we are so thankful for!

After 3+ years of long distance, the heart grew fonder, and we were DONE with distance! I moved down to Savannah, GA almost 2 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. We have loved building a home and a life together in this little town that we are so happy to call home. From the friendships we have made, the places we frequent, and having the ‘hosting’ home– this is our favorite season together yet!

We got engaged in July 2026 on a big group trip filled with friends in Costa Rica. I knew an engagement was on the horizon, but Dalt pulled off the surprise he was hoping for tenfold.

That leads us to the present day, planning a wedding. We truly cannot thank you all for the years of support and kindness throughout our relationship. We can’t wait to celebrate our most special day with you!
